Sanctuary is the rune word 'KoKoMal' for off-hand armor in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Sanctuary is a superb defensive shield, providing a large boost to defense, the highest resistances offered of any shield in the game, faster block rate, and charges of Slow Missiles. Physical fighters may derive the most benefit from it as it does not offer any spellcaster-related bonuses. However, any class can benefit from the very high bonus to all resistances and the improved blocking and defense.

Sanctuary is comparatively very cheap for its capabilities, and is an excellent mid-game upgrade over the similar, and even cheaper, Ancient's Pledge Rune Word.
